In conjunction with the Internet Merchants Federation (IMF), Safe2shop acts as regulator and controller of the IMF Code of Practice, and provides, where necessary a complaints arbitration service to Internet Users. This initiative is the only one of its kind, extending its activities as it does to cover not only Privacy concerns, but also the area of Customer Service.

A Merchant has to agree to abide by the Code of Practice and the findings of the Safe2shop Independent Complaints Panel before being Approved for IMF Membership. ONLY such Approved Members can display the Safe2shop Seal of Approval on their web site.

You can now shop with IMF member Merchants safe in the knowledge that firstly you know precisely who and where they are, verified independently by Safe2shop, and available to you via the Seal of Approval. Secondly that they have committed to operating within a published Code of Practice, which meets all regulatory requirements. Thirdly that should the need arise you can raise a complaint through Safe2shop who will act as arbitrators between the two parties, the Merchant being well aware that if they are in the wrong and do not rectify matters satisfactorily, they will loose their membership of IMF.

The final verification of a Merchants performance is indicated by the User and Purchaser ratings made by people just like you when visiting and/or purchasing on Approved sites. Independently administered by Safe2shop this is the final factor that takes you into your comfort zone when shopping with IMF Merchants.
